Help with simulations and projects

Start with a prepared experiment or build a scene, change one variable at a time, and compare the workspace measurements with the experiment guidance.

Quick start

  1. Choose an experiment and read its learning objectives and limitations.
  2. Open it in the workspace, inspect the prepared objects, and change only the control you want to test.
  3. Run, pause, reset, and compare the configured graph traces.
  4. Download a project file when you need a portable backup.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the simulations without an account?

Yes. Guest visitors can open the workspace, run experiments, and keep a local browser autosave. Google sign-in is only needed for optional Firebase cloud projects.

Are simulation results exact measurements?

No. YDK Simu Lab is an educational model. Numerical methods, time steps, selected properties, and simplified assumptions can affect results, so important work should be checked independently.

How do I open a prepared experiment?

Choose an experiment from the public library, review its method and limitations, then use Open in workspace. The prepared scene remains editable.

Can I save or share a project?

You can download and load versioned project files and export an image. Local autosave works in the browser, while signed-in users can use optional private cloud projects.

What should I include in a problem report?

Include the experiment name, what you changed, what you expected, and the steps that reproduce the problem. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or private project data.
