Expected observations
- Without explicit acceleration, the apparatus has no sideways drift.
- The free surface tilts perpendicular to effective gravity.
- The balloon moves opposite the dense-fluid pressure-gradient direction until constrained.
Model limitations
This is a two-dimensional educational model with simplified fluid drag, a prescribed frame acceleration, and an idealized tether.
